Healing Directions is a new division of Dallas Training that
offers a variety of personal enhancement classes and services in
suppo
rt
of life transitions, wellness and healing. Our hope is to bring
teaching and personal connection to our community that will
inspire new beginnings and a deepening of individuals' life
experiences. Below is information on mini-classes that work well
with corporate wellness programs, and for organizations and
groups interested in fostering peace, health and well-being for
its members.
In addition to classes, private sessions are available to support you on your path of awareness and energy management. Please see "Energy Healing Sessions" following the class descriptions below.
Stress Relief
Daily demands, career challenges or just life can leave us stressed out and feeling powerless. Research reveals stress as the underlying cause of over 90% of all illnesses. Not good! Although we have little ability to control external circumstances and people, the good news is that each of us has a vast potential to manage our lives...from within. This fun and informative class teaches quick, simple, effective ways to quiet the mind, release tension and divert stress before its onset. (2 hours)
Living a Less Toxic Life - Environmentally
Contact with chemicals, pesticides, hormones in our food and electromagnetic field exposure are growing concerns in our society. Some of us may already be physically compromised because of toxins while others wish to elevate their immune system to avoid potential overload. We will discuss the most common offenders to our bodies and how to minimize toxic exposure to support a healthier lifestyle. Learn simple, low-to-no-cost methods for clearing, healing the body and renewing the soul. (1.5 hours)
Living a Less Toxic Life - Emotionally
We now know that toxins in our environment can affect our health and well-being. Of equal or greater importance, however, are the consequences of emotional toxins. In this class we explore thoughts and situations that may trigger us during our every-day life moments. We'll look at our power of choice to choose another way...all to clear the body and renew the soul. You will come away with an increased awareness for catching old, unproductive patterns as they show up, observing rather than engaging and practicing ways to process and let go. (1.5 hours)
Choose Heart Consciousness
Choosing to live from the heart and expanding beyond the common intellectual connections we have with others is truly a dance! In this class we explore ways to become more deeply in touch with our own true nature, and then how to experience more depth and compassion with others. You will come away from the class with fresh ideas for infusing everyone you come into contact with and everything you do with unconditional love. After all, what you give out, you always get back! (1.5 hours)
Meditation
Amidst a busy and demanding life it can sometimes seem impossible to focus, think clearly, be peaceful and function physically pain-free. Our energy and inspiration are literally zapped. Fortunately, we each have the ability to tap into an internal well of peace...bringing us back home to ourselves. Through a meditation practice of deep breathing, grounding and guided imagery you will be able to clear unproductive thoughts, gain comfort in your body, and experience life from a renewed and gentle perspective. (1.5 hours)
Claim Your Voice
Our voice says so much about us! Things we may or may not even be aware of. How we feel about our voice, and the many levels of our voice - sound and depth; vibration and feel; tone and texture; mood and emotion - all make up our personal rhythm of expression and communication. You may be surprised to learn how it affects yourself and others! From this class you will experience a fun and personal discovery of how you create your unique sound, and how you are a part of a larger resonance! (1.25 hours)
Feel Your Body Move
Most, if not all, of us carry aches and pains in our body like unwanted baggage. What if you were able to lose the baggage, relieve soreness and at the same time become more aware of your body's needs...your body's voice? Just reading this you may notice your body feels stiff and wants to move, so move! From every-day activities like sitting in a chair, standing in line or winding down at the end of the day, your body has the ability to find its own comfort, to let go and renew. Let yourself be moved by this restorative session. (1.25 hours)
Get Into Your Feet
The earth holds an important, constant, never changing and always available substance - - Earth Energy. New ground-breaking studies are showing the medical benefits of connecting with earth energy to reduce inflammation, pain and illness. Through this connection, often referred to as grounding or earthing, we have the ability to feel stabilized, calmed and replenished. We will discuss and practice quick, simple and effective ways to utilize grounding in every-day life to be able to operate as a more productive, clear and grounded being! (1.25 hours)
Energy Healing Sessions
"When the body is balanced, healing can happen."
In your personal energy healing session you will experience a gentle yet powerful balancing technique that encourages a deep reconnection with yourself. Within the connection and relaxation, balance and flow can come forward. It is when our energy flows are disrupted or in some way blocked that we may have experiences of stress, unclear or negative thinking, anxiety, physical pain or disease. Energy healing sessions offer a reminder to your body...to all parts of you - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual...of its healthy, natural rhythm and innate desire for peace and healing. You will come away from the session with an expanded, peaceful, energized feeling and new perspectives.
Energy healing sessions can also support the healing process of animals who may be experiencing an illness. We have experience working with domestic dogs and cats as well as large cats.

Laura Sarna is certified as a practitioner of energy balancing, mentored by Deborah Singleton of the Arasini Foundation. Laura has been studying and practicing energy since 1996. She brings to the healing arts a corporate background and personal history that brought her to a desire for healing...for herself and then to support others in their journey to wellness. With meditation as her foundation for life, Laura continues to learn and teach about energy, wellness and healing. Sessions are offered at A Healing Place (www.ahealingplace.org) in Richardson, Texas. For those out of town and or unable to travel to Richardson, we offer remote energy balancing sessions.
